the basics of anatomy, composition and drawing techniques
MY DIRECT METHOD
of art instruction means that I will be drawing the figure in front of you and explaining the proportions and techniques as we go along so that you see the procedure demonstrated at the same time as doing it yourself and learning the process as you apply them to your own drawing.
YOU WILL NEED
A drawing pad, I use the A4 watercolour sketch books because the paper is grainy but anything will do to get started. Whatever pencils or charcoal pencils you may have but a 6b or 8b is ideal.And a good rubber.
THE COST is $40 per three hour class.
With the figure drawing there is not a set curriculum as there is with my oil painting classes, rather, there is a certain amount of instruction on an ongoing basis so that beginners get all the encouragement they need, and more professional artists are simply able to avail themselves of the presence of a model to interpret as they will.
The model will not always be female as the male figure is of equal importance especially if you want to include figures in landscape drawings or paintings.
